Douglas Road has been sealed off by police after a teenager was hit by a car.
The busy thoroughfare has been closed off behind Asda, near the Scott Fyfe roundabout.
A 14-year old girl is understood to have suffered a head injury in the incident, although it is not thought to be serious.
She has been taken to Ninewells Hospital and inquiries into the incident are under way.
Diversions are in place and delays should be expected.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland, Tayside Division, said: “We are making enquiry into a road traffic collision that happened in Douglas Road, Dundee, at about 3.50pm this afternoon.
“A 14-year-old girl was injured in connection with the incident and has been taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment.The road is closed whilst enquiries are carried out.”
