Children asked to choo-choose name for new Broughty Ferry land train

Children are being offered the chance to name Broughty Ferry’s new land train ahead of its launch on Saturday.
The land train will take its first public passengers from noon on Saturday on a route from the pier to Barnhill Rock Garden.
Elaine Stewart, local mum and director of Localmotion Land Trains Ltd, said she wanted members of the community to be involved in the naming of the area’s newest attraction.
She said: “A lot of people have been asking what we are going to call it.
“We thought why not open it up to the public as the children, in particular, might come up with something really unusual and quirky.”
