A motorcyclist has died in a crash near the Kingsway.
The33-year-old was killed when his orange KTM 650 collided with a white Mercedes lorry near the BP petrol stationat the junction of Kingsway West and Liff Road at 4.35pm on Wednesday.
Emergency services closed Liff Road to allow accident investigation teams to inspect the scene.
A police spokesperson said: “Police Scotland can confirm that a 33-year-old male motorcyclist riding an orange KTM 650 suffered fatal injuries following a collision with a white Mercedes lorry which occurred about 4.35pm.
“Emergency personnel attended the collision location and the road was closed for the purposes of accident investigation being completed.
“Enquiries into the full set of circumstances of the incident are ongoing and Tayside Division would appeal for anyone who may have information that could assist officers with their enquiries to contact Tayside Division on 101.
“As with all sudden deaths a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
