Woman has ‘lucky escape’ after rolling her car five times on the Kingsway

A woman had a “lucky escape” after her car collided with a barrier on the slip road to the Kingsway West Retail Park.
The 52-year-old wastravelling west shortly before 5pm on Friday when she lost control of her silver Vauxhall.
The car hit the barrier separating the slip road from the busy Kingsway traffic, climbed up on to the barrier and rolled over five times before coming to a rest further along the road.
She was taken to Ninewells Hospital to be checked over.
An officer at the scene said the woman was very lucky and appeared to be uninjured in the accident.
He said: “She was conscious and breathing and was able to communicate.There was not a scratch on her.”
The dual carriageway was closed for around 10 minutes to allow debris to be cleared from the road and the sliproad wasfully reopened after half an hour.
