Almost Blue looks set to return after great weekend

Almost Blue gave a fabulous performance in Dundee at the weekend, proving itself a more than able entertainment substitute for the city’s music fans.
Scott Clark, co-organiser of the live music festival of 90 gigs around city centre pubs and clubs, said the 2014 replacement for the Blues Bonanza was a terrific success.
The celebration of music, from blues and bluegrass to Cajun and gypsy swing, attracted crowds described by Scott as “the people we wanted”.
He said: “I’ve been in touch with most of the pubs and clubs and we were all filled with people out to enjoy the music and have a good time. The first two days were great and Sunday looks like it will turn out just as well.”
Almost Blue filled the breach for 2014 after the long-running annual Blues Bonanza was postponed for the year for various reasons.
“We don’t know yet what will happen next year,” Scott continued.
“If the Blues Bonanza doesn’t happen, I and others would like to think that Almost Blue can return in 2015 to be even bigger and better than it has been in 2014.
“If the bonanza returns, maybe Almost Blue can augment it in some way. It’s all been very positive.”
