Thieves in Dundee have astounded police by stealing a kitchen from a house in the city.
Police say the haul included eight “Houston” white acrylic kitchen cupboard doors, 16 stainless steel cupboard door handles, 11 stainless steel door handles, 16 kicker board fixings and various bolts and screws.
The theft happened at an address in Laird Street between June 24 and July 7.
Neighbour Bill Cox said: “The guy who owns the house is doing it up for his daughter’s friend.
“He wasn’t happy when he found out it had happened. It’s a shame. They are decent folk.”
His wife Jacqueline added: “We never saw anything so it must’ve been done at night.
“We didn’t hearanything either; it seems awfully strange.”
Police think the thief or thieves may have used a true key to gain access.
