Police say they are concerned for the safety of a woman reported missing in Dundee.
Irene Cathro, 65, lives in the Perth Road area but was last seen about 4pm on Thursday in Beach Crescent, Broughty Ferry.
Mrs Cathro, of Birchwood Place in the Blackness area of the city, had been at Orchar Nursing Home in Broughty Ferry with husband George after a relative took ill.
Mr Cathro said they were waiting for an ambulance to take him to hospital when his wife disappeared.
He thought she had gone to sit under a parasol but she had disappeared.
Mrs Cathro likes to visit charity shops but there was no sign of her in the many that operate in Broughty Ferry.
Mr Cathro, 66, returned to Broughty Ferry first thing this morning to continue his search but so far in vain.
The search intensified at lunchtime when the Broughty Ferry lifeboat and a Police Scotland helicopter were called in to help.
Attention was focused on the Tay.
Mrs Cathro, a former cleaner, takes medication for a range of conditions including osteoporosis, diabetes and high blood pressure.
She is described as 5ft 3in, and has short blonde hair in a bob.
She was last seen wearing a black jacket, white top, black trousers and black shoes. She was also carrying a black bag.
Anyone who has seen Irene or who has any information is asked to phone police on 101 or speak to any police officer.
