A man accused of abducting and assaulting women in various locations across Dundee over an 11-year period will stand trial in September.
Frank John Degernier, 39, a prisoner at Perth, appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court on six charges.
He denies that on various occasions between November 2001 and December 2012, he abducted six women and detained them against their will, behaving in an aggressive manner and launching a series of assaults against five of them.
The alleged assaults included kicking and stamping on one woman, rendering her unconscious and after she vomited, rubbing her face in her own vomit, all to her injury.
He also denies repeatedly slapping, pushing and punching another woman; slapping and punching another woman and pinning a crowbar against her neck, restricting her breathing.
He also denies assaulting two other women, one of them by seizing her by the hair and dragging her to the ground, locking the door and refusing to let them leave.
Trial was set for September 15 with a continued first diet on August 18.
