City Square saw a candlelight pro-life vigil that marked the passing of the 1967 Abortion Act.
“We’re heartened to see the number of people taking part in the vigil growing every year,” said Marysia Kobylarska, chairwoman of the Dundee branch of the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children.
People joined the demonstration from Dundee and the surrounding area and held placards, one of which read “Abortion hurts women.”
For the first time in six years, there has been a slight decrease in the numbers of abortions in Tayside.
“Any decrease in the number of abortions can only be a good thing. It would be nice to think that our witness for life has played a part,” Marysia said.
