Norovirus cases force Victoria Hospital ward to close

WARD 8 at Royal Victoria Hospital has been closed to new admissions following several cases of norovirus.

An NHS Tayside spokeswoman said: “The ward has been closed to new patients as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of the virus and all appropriate infection control measures have been put in place.”

She reiterated advice to the public not to visit relatives in hospital if feeling unwell, especially if suffering from the vomiting and diarrhoea associated with orovirus.
