A 15-year-old boy has appeared in private before a sheriff at Dundee charged with attempted murder.
The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared on Monday on a petition alleging that he assaulted another male by repeatedly stamping on his head to his injury.
The alleged offence is said to have taken place in Wentworth Lane on Saturday.
The boy spoke only to confirm his name during the five-minute hearing before Sheriff Tom Hughes.
The teenager, who was remanded in custody, made no plea or declaration and the case was continued for further examination.
