Staff and customers had to flee from the Jahangir restaurant in Dundee yesterday after smoke was seen coming from the roof. The incident at the restaurant in Session Street was brought under control by three units of Tayside Fire and Rescue. Station manager Graeme Christie said the interior of the building was unaffected. “We dealt with the fire and stayed there until we were sure it was fully extinguished.” Owner Ali Mohammed said the restaurant had reopened later in the day.
