Travellers move on from site at Riverside

An unauthorised encampment at Riverside has come to an end.

Several caravans arrived at the site, next to a playing field north of Riverside Drive, on June 9. Residents complained and council officers met the Travellers to try to bring their occupation to a satisfactory conclusion.

The site has been left without unsightly piles of rubbish. A council spokesman said there had been no need from them to carry out a clean-up.
