Retired Dundee primary teacher Isobel Shaw has died, aged 62.
She was born in the city and went to Downfield Primary before winning a scholarship to Dundee High School.
After studying at Dundee University she embarked on her teaching career and worked at Downfield, Kellyfield, Gilburn, Mid-Craigie, Douglas and Claypotts primaries before retiring in 2011.
Ms Shaw was diagnosed with cancer last year and died at home surrounded by her family. More than 300 people attended her funeral at Central Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband John, who she met aged 17, and their children Jennifer, Jonathan and Catriona.
A family spokesman said: “She will be sorely missed, but her values remain with those left behind.”
