A dozen flats could be built at Roseangle if a planning application is approved.
Discovery Homes want to demolish a pair of industrial buildings on the site at nos 19-21, next to Greenfield Place, and replace them with a pair of L-shaped blocks of two-bedroom flats along with a central courtyard and 16 parking spaces.
Architects the Voigt Partnership said the existing buildings had suffered from years of neglect and vandalism and were now structurally unsafe.
They had no architectural or historical merit and their loss would not harm the conservation area.
“We believe the proposed design sits comfortably in the streetscape and complements the existing character of the West End,” the architects said.
Voigt added that the three-storey blocks would produce little or no overlooking or overshadowing of neighbouring properties.
