A “playful” polecat that disappeared from a Fintry home has been found.
The furry one-year-old critter was returned by Tayside Police after a 48-hour absence.
Shocked Ann Smith only discovered the exodus after being sent a picture, via SnapChat, of the one-year-old creature running through a friend’s back garden.
She told The Courier: “I clean the pens out every day. I went to my bed on Tuesday night and someone sent me a SnapChat of Gill running through a garden.
“She can just head butt her cage to get out, but she never really goes outside much. Whenever I take her out she just runs straight home.
“She is very used to people and other animals. The dog carries her in his mouth all the time. She is very playful with everyone and definitely will not bite,” she added.
It is believed an officer returned the pet late on Thursday night.
