Young girl hit with stone in racist attack by schoolboys in Dundee

A young girl was hit by a stone in a suspected racist attack in Dundee.
The 11-year-old was at a bus stop in Balgowan Avenue, near to the Trottick roundabout, when four or five boys of a similar age on the other side of the road started shouting racist remarks.
A stone was thrown and struck the girl on the shoulder. The racist insults continued until the girl was able to get on to a bus.
The incident happened about 8.25am on Friday.
A police spokesman said another girl is understood to have witnessed the attack and spoken to the boys involved.
All of the children were wearing school uniforms, and one of the group of boys had blonde hair.
Police Scotland are trying to find the boys, and also hope to speak to the girl who witnessed the attack.
