Weekly bin collections could be for the scrapheap in Dundee
ByAndrew Liddle
Weekly bin collections could be thrown on the scrapheap as early as this year.
A proposed new scheme for the city’s waste collections will go before councillors on April 21 which will see residual waste pick-ups go fortnightly.
However, in a bid to improve recycling, new weekly food waste collections will be phased in. There will also be new ways of collecting paper, glass and plastics.
But residents fear it will leave piles of rubbish strewn across the city and attract more vermin to residential areas.
