Camperdown Country Park’s inclusive play area was officially re-opened after a £95,000 makeover.
The city council made the investment as early enhancements in the development plan for the park. This includes the refurbishment of the inclusive play area, new outdoor gym equipment, sculptures, interpretation and new planting.
Dundee City Council environment convener Craig Melville said: “The introduction of adult fitness equipment will encourage adults to be active whilst their children are enjoying themselves.”
He added: “The newly refurbished inclusive play area with swings, play boat and palm trees provides children with an excellent opportunity to play safely.”
A new interpretation sign of the Battle of Camperdown at the entrance wall to the play area has informative notes and pictures for visitors.
