Appeal following taxi crash on Dundee’s Riverside Drive

A taxi driver is in hospital after his vehicle left the road in the early hours of the morning on Dundee’s Riverside Drive.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which took place at around 1.15am.

A white Peugeot Expert Taxi left the road near the Riverside Inn before mounting the grass verge and colliding with a lamppost.

The 19-year-old male driver was taken to Ninewells Hospital suffering from a head injury, although his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Police are looking for any witnesses who were in the vicinity at the time of this incident to speak with any officer or call 101.
