Kaitlin Kinmond, a pupil at Rowantree Primary, was left bleeding heavily after being repeatedly bitten during a five-minute attack. She was rushed to hospital after the attack with a wound to her left leg and bruising and bite marks on her body. After assessing the evidence the Crown Office has said no further action will be taken against the dog’s owner. Mum Michelle, 43, from Linlathen, said the youngster was still struggling to cope with the effects of the attack. “Kaitlin still suffers from nightmares and has been physically scarred for life. “I’m really disappointed that no action is being taken against the dog’s owner and I don’t think it’s right that this dog is back in public.” The Crown Office said its decision to take no action came following full and careful consideration of all the facts.
