The operators of Dundee Airport have said there should be no further disruption to services as it bids to bring an end to industrial action.
A formal pay offer has been submitted to the Propsect union, which is representing security staff at Highlands and Islands Airports Limited’s (HIAL) 11 regional airports.
Should staff follow the recommendation of the union and accept the offer it would signal an end to a turbulent period for the business and its customers.
Dundee was the sole airport forced to close as a result of strike action on April 7 disrupting flights to Stanstead but all felt some effects.
A consultative ballot of Prospect members is taking place, with an answer expected on May 5.
HIAL said: “We believe our offer delivers a balanced package of improvements to pay and conditions for security staff.
“We are hopeful that the matter can now be resolved and that we can move forward.
“In the meantime, the union has suspended its work to rule, a move we welcome.
“Throughout the dispute, including the work to rule, it was business as usual at all airports except Dundee, for which we apologise.”
