Police are hunting a gang of brazen teenage thugs who assaulted and robbed a man in broad daylight in Dundee.
The 20-year-old victim is now receiving treatment for his injuries in hospital.
Thieves made off with a black Nokia mobile phone and cigarettes after the attack in Rose Lane on Wednesday afternoon.
A spokeswoman said: “Officers are keen to trace three men in their late teens in connection with the incident.
“One man is described as being about five foot seven inches tall, wearing a yellow jacket, grey jogging bottoms and black trainers. Another is described as being about five foot eight inches tall, wearing a green jacket and grey tracksuit bottoms.
“Officers understand that there were residents in the area who may have seen or heard the incident take place and they are urged to contact police with any information that could assist them with their enquiries.
