A brazen thief ignored security cameras to steal more than £8,000 from a Dundee bus depot, it has emerged.
Police are probing the break-in which took place at the Stagecoach Strathtay base in Wester Gourdie Industrial Estate in the early hours of last Sunday.
It is understood CCTV cameras captured the thief, who is believed to be a man, wandering across the depot floor and heading straight for the safe before taking the cash and leaving.
He wore a hooded jacket and had most of his face hidden, although officers are scouring the video footage for any clues to their identity.
The thief managed to get into the building and appeared to know the layout well.
