Clydesdale Bank has announced that its branch on Strathmartine Road, Dundee, will close on September 11.
The rise of online banking and a review of the group’s network have been identified as reasons for the closure.
Customer accounts will be transferred to the Clydesdale branch on the High Street, though it will retain an ATM on Strathmartine Road.
Post office facilities will be available nearby at Teviotdale Avenue.
The bank’s Steve Fletcher said: “We understand customers will be disappointed by this news and these are not decisions we take lightly, but I hope that the proximity of the post office and the ever-increasing range of alternative ways they can bank with us will minimise any impacts.
“Staff from Strathmartine Road will relocate to other branches in the area and there are no job losses anticipated.”
