Power cut hits Stobswell area of Dundee

A power cut in the Stobswell area of Dundee left moe than 3,000 of homes without power on Thursday morning.

The outage lasted for more than 90 minutes and left 3, 439 homes without any electricity.

The loss of power triggered a number of burglar alarms in the Stobswell area.

SSE said a fault was to blame for the loss of electricity.

Power was restored around 1.30am.

Several people commented on social media about the power cut.
