Documents reveal full scale of Muirfield Contracts collapse
ByAndrew Argo
The long list of companies who lost out because of the collapse of Dundee building company Muirfield Contracts has today been revealed.
Documents released by Companies House show the firm had debts totalling at least £6.9 million.
But company owner John Stodart has been accused by administrators Campbell Dallas of not giving a full picture of his firm’s financial position by not including unpaid wages and holiday pay due to his workforce.
The administrators say the value of the company’s assets and liabilities suggested by Mr Stodart “are materially different to those which appear in the company’s books and records.”
