One of Scotland’s leading Christian media commentators has become the next Moderator of the Free Church.
The Rev David Robertson, minister of Dundee St Peter’s Free Church and director of the Solas Centre for Public Christianity, took up the role at the Free Kirk’s General Assembly in Edinburgh.
The 53-year-old said: “I did not really think when I became a Free Church minister in 1986 at the tender age of 24 that I would ever reach this stage.
“It is an honour and a privilege to be able to serve in this way, especially at such an exciting time for both the Free Church and Scotland.”
He has been minister at St Peter’s for 22 years.
