Police in Dundee are hunting a group they believe may be linked to a serious assault in the city on Monday.
Blood was left splattered on the pavement in Dundonald Street and a 34-year-old man was left with an injury to his face.
Police say one of the men in the group was wearing a black t-shirt with a single diagonal stripe across the front, dark tracksuit bottoms and light trainers.
Another was wearing a light top, dark trousers and white shoes.
Officers are also keen to trace a man wearing grey trousers and a light blue jacket who assisted the victim in the immediate aftermath of the assault, together with a woman wearing a khaki jacket.
Police Scotland said: “We are appealing for witnesses following this assault. A 34-year-old man suffered an injury to his face in the incident and received medical treatment at Ninewells Hospital.”
Locals told The Courier the area has become plagued by crime in recent years.
