Dundee’s Custom House is to undergo a full building survey, after debris fell from the roof.
Concern over the historic building at City Quay came after an emergency road closure had to be enforced by police to protect passers-by.
Firefighters rushed to the scene to make the building safe while police closed the busy road during the incident in April.
Owner Apex Hotels is carrying out inspections of the 1842 building, which is on Scotland’s buildings at risk register.
Since the incident, a spokesman for Apex Hotels said initial reports showed no further damage, but a full survey is to be conducted.
The firm hopes to turn it into a conference centre annexe on its City Quay hotel.
A spokesman for the company said: “The building has been inspected, where we didn’t see any other signs of potential damage.
“However, we’re still in the process of commissioning a full condition survey to assess the state of the building and any immediate repair work required.”
