Seven-year-old girl injured after bike struck by car in Dundee

A seven-year-old girl suffered head, leg and arm injuries after being struck by a car while on her bike in Dundee’s Happyhillock Road.
The youngster was cycling at the junction of Longcroft Road and Happyhillock Road shortly before 3.45pm on Friday when she was involved in a collision with a blue Vauxhall Astra.
Police officers assisted paramedics treating the girl, who was given pain relief before being placed on a spinal board and taken to Dundee’s Ninewells Hospital.
The girl’s tangled green bike was later retrieved from the road, which reopened shortly after 4.30pm.
Her injures are not thought to be life threatening.
