Dundee man to stand trial on bizarre stalking charge
ByThe Courier Reporter
A man is to stand trial on a bizarre stalking charge after allegedly “arranging for others” to take photos of a woman before posting “numerous” images of her on social media.
Mohammed Mohiuddin is accused of “exhibiting” pictures of Zakia Shirin Nishai on a social networking site against her wishes and without her consent as part of a two-year “course of conduct which caused her fear and alarm”.
He is alleged to have repeatedly taken pictures or arranged for others to take pictures of her, as well as repeatedly loitered near places where he believed her to be.
At Dundee Sheriff Court, Mohiuddin, 48, of Blake Avenue, Dundee, pleaded not guilty to a charge of stalking on summary complaint.
A further pre-trial hearing was set for later this month.
