A man admitted giving a 16-year-old boy a “wee slap” because he was fed up with him not tidying up, Dundee Sheriff Court heard.
Sean McDonald, 36, of Baxter Street, admitted assaulting the youth on June 6 by striking him on the head while on bail.
Depute fiscal Trina Sinclair said the teenager was staying at Sinclair’s address when the accused returned home having been drinking and assaulted him.
When police attended in the early hours, the accused said: “It wasn’t an assault, it was just a wee slap.”
The court heard an argument developed because the accused was unhappy the teenager played his Xbox all the time instead of tidying up.
Deferring sentence until July 13, Sheriff Elizabeth Munro said the difficulty was that he had offended while on bail.
