‘Dear Mr Dealer’: Officers leave note for Tayside cannabis farmer
ByThe Courier Reporter
Police have raided the flat of a suspected drug dealer in Tayside.
Officers went to the property in the Stobswell area of Dundee and found cannabis plants and equipment that appeared to be helping the class B drugs to grow.
It’s understood that no occupants were in the flat at the time of the raid, meaning police had to force their way in through the front door.
They left a note for the people who live there to say they had visited and encouraging them to get in touch.
Afterwards, one officer took to social media to issue a warning to the suspected criminal.
He said: “Dear Mr Drug Dealer, we are sorry you weren’t at home when we called, but we have taken all your drugs and changed your locks #callussoon.”
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland, Tayside Division, confirmed that officers were investigating the find, which was made on Sunday June 7.
Officers have been targeting drug-related crime through Operation Slate, a Tayside-wide initiative which involves a crackdown on drug dealers.
