Firefighters attended Ninewells Hospital twice today both for false alarms.
Crews were called out at 10.20am and then again shortly after 3pm.
An eyewitness reported seeing people leaving the building during the second incident but NHS Tayside said the hospital was not fully evacuated.
An NHS Tayside spokeswoman said the first incident took place at the medical school, while the second incident led to women being asked to leave the anti-natal clinic.
A spokeswoman for the Fire Service said: “We have been up to Ninewells twice today but they were just false alarms. It was a small scale incident.”
