A major new development in Dundee will be unveiled to members of the public today.
Kirkwood Homes will ask residents for their views on the proposal for 150 new homes at Linlathen.
Plans have already been submitted for the development, which sits opposite the area’s nursing home, directly to the east of Brae Riding for the Disabled.
The council has earmarked the land for a new development from 2020, but Kirkwood Homes hope that construction could begin earlier.
The company’s land director, Allan Rae, said: “Whilst the site has been earmarked for future development, we feel that Linlathen can bring forward much needed family homes for the Brought Ferry area in the short to medium term.
“We are in a position to help meet housing demand in the area by delivering a range of homes on a site which has already been recognised as being suitable for development through its allocation in the city’s local development plan.”
Mr Rae also said that he hoped as many people as possible would attend the public consultation event, which will take place at Panmurefield Baptist Centre, Lawyers Drive, from 3 to 7pm.
He added: “Members of the project team will be on hand to address any questions that are raised and we encourage anyone with an interest to come along and help to shape our future plans for the area.”
