Helicopter heard above Dundee in early hours was helping with missing person search

Police say a helicopter heard in Dundee in the early hours of this morning was helping in the search for a vulnerable missing person.

Residents flooded social media with inquiries after the aircraft was heard across large parts of the city, but apparently centred on the Caird Park area.

A police spokesman said the helicopter had been called to help search for a missing person.

The person was traced safely at around 4.30am.
