The accident occurred on the southbound carriageway of the road at Shielhill by Tealing around 6.30pm on Monday. Fire crews arrived on the scene to find a woman trapped in one of the cars. Two other casualties had managed to extricate themselves from the wreckage. Firefighters cut the woman free from her car. She was then checked over by waiting paramedics but neither she nor the other two people involved in the accident required any hospital treatment. A spokeswoman for the Scottish Ambulance Service described the three casualties as “walking wounded”. The A90 at Tealing is well-known as an accident blackspot. A pedestrian died following a crash at the Tealing junction in March last year. Last September a van was left on its roof following a collision with a lorry on the road. As one of the main routes into Dundee, crashes on the road can also lead to significant traffic problems.
