Writer to speak on video games intimacy for Dare ProtoPlay

Internationally-respected video games writer Cara Ellison will discuss how video games portray intimacy between characters at a special event at Dare ProtoPlay next week.

Her talk, Games and Intersubjective Intimacy, will be at 6.30pm on Saturday at Marryat Hall and will be followed by a panel discussion and audience question-and-answer session.

The event follows a popular Micro-Talk on the same subject at the 2015 Game Developers’ Conference in San Francisco, where she was the guest of game designer Richard Lemarchand.

Dare ProtoPlay is Scotland’s biggest video games festival, attracting more than 13,000 people across four days last year.
