One fan was arrested and seven ejected from Tannadice during a pulsating Dundee derby on Tuesday.
Two flares were also recovered from the stands as James McPake’s last-minute goal salvaged a draw for the Dark Blues.
A crowd of 11,500 watched the 2-2 draw.
Some Dundee fans spilled onto the pitch following McPake’s goal and the over-exuberance of some spilled out onto the streets surrounding Tannadice after the game.
A video posted online showed one fan clamber on top of an Audi driving up Mains Road while cheered on by a large group of fans, who begin chanting.
The game was televised by Sky and was widely hailed as a great advert for Scottish football.
Dundee’s hero McPake praised the atmosphere created by both sets of fans, saying: “We were never going to give up with that crowd behind us. Both sets of fans were excellent.
“The atmosphere was great and it was a good game.”
Earlier this month an Aberdeen fan had the word “sheep” spray-painted onto his car when in Dundee for the opening game of the season.
It is believed a Dundee United fan was responsible.Click here for a full photo gallery from Tannadice
