Broughty Ferry residents ‘universally outraged’ by ward change plans
ByAndrew Liddle
There have been more objections from West Ferry residents over planned boundary changes than from anywhere else in Scotland, The Courier can reveal.
“Universally outraged” homeowners have inundated the Scottish Government with protests against plans to remove the West Ferry from the rest of Broughty Ferry.
Despite a consultation into the proposed changes only being halfway to completion, in excess of 100 letters of objection have already been sent.
West Ferry Residents’ Action Group, who fear the changes will leave their area without proper representation, have canvassed hundreds of homes in a bid to block the plans.
Brian Cunningham, a spokesman for the group, said: “The feedback from those receiving this is almost universally one of outrage that West Ferry is being removed from Broughty Ferry by the proposed boundary change.”
