Stalker tells Dundee Sheriff Court his guilty plea to harassment was a mistake
ByThe Courier Reporter
A man who faces jail after admitting to stalking a bank worker for almost a year has told a court he did not mean to plead guilty.
Steven Harper was appearing at Dundee Sheriff Court for sentence in connection with a campaign of harassment aimed at Samantha Finlay.
Harper, 30, of Burnside Court, Whorterbank, Dundee, however, claimed he pleaded guilty to stalking his victim between June 24 2013 and June 13 2014, by repeatedly texting and emailing her and visiting her place of work, in error.
Sentence was deferred again until later this month to allow the plea to be investigated, with Harper banned from contacting his victim.
