A Dundee man left a woman needing plastic surgery after punching her twice in the face following a pub argument.
Mark Deasley twice punched Katrian Juckiewicz in the face before running off after getting into an argument with her father’s work colleagues in a Dundee pub.
Deasley, a scaffolder, attacked Miss Juckiewicz, 31, at Ferrari’s bar in Dundee leaving her needing reconstructive surgery and a metal plate inserted in her face.
The thug, who has previous convictions for breach of the peace and possessing cocaine, left her with permanent blurred double vision meaning she has to use special eye drops due to damage to her tear glands.
Deasley, 26, of Westcroft Road, Dundee, appeared at the sheriff court to plead guilty to assaulting Miss Juckiewicz on September 5 last year to her severe injury, permanent disfigurement and permanent impairment.
Solicitor Jack Brown said his client was “extremely sorry”.
In addition to the financial penalty, Deasley was given a community payback order and ordered to carry out 240 hours’ unpaid work and 27 months’ supervision.
