ByThe Courier Reporter
A Dundee man appeared in court accused of knocking another man unconscious at the gates of a primary school on the first day of the new term.
Mark Gorthy, 30, of Anton Drive, appeared in private at Dundee Sheriff Court and faced two charges on petition, the first alleging he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner by acting aggressively and putting his head against the head of Scott Wallace, and threatening Mr Wallace, at the school.
He is further accused of assaulting Mr Wallace by punching him on the face, rendering him unconscious, and thereafter stamping on his head, to his severe injury.
Gorthy made no plea or declaration, the case was continued for further investigation and he was granted bail ahead of further dates being set.
