Transport Scotland, which is responsible for the dual carriageway as it forms part of the A90 trunk road, is behind the proposal. This would see the maximum speed cut from 50mph between the Forfar Road junction and the exit for the Kingsway West retail park. Councillor Ian Borthwick said: “Anything that can contribute to a reduction in road traffic accidents will help.”
