Mary McLaren was raped, murdered and dumped in bushes beside a city centre roundabout by sex offender Patrick Rae in February 2010. Five years on her mother, Margaret McIntosh, was abused by Stefan Schnell as she travelled on a National Express bus on Dundee’s Victoria Road. Schnell got on board as she travelled and “growled” at her: “You’re going to get it worse than Mary.” Margaret, 58, said: “The problems started ever since the day we lost Mary. “He seems to just jump on the same buses that me and my daughter are on.” She said the horrifying thoughts of her daughter’s murder come flooding back every time she sees Schnell. Margaret said: “We just want him to leave us alone now. “It’s been affecting me physically and mentally.” Schnell, 24, of East Milne’s Wynd, Dundee, was convicted of behaving in a threatening and abusive manner while on bail on December 18 last year. He was placed on a community payback order with 18 months’ supervision.
