Police have already carried out door-to-door enquiries and reviewed CCTV in the area.
The are hoping to identify more witnesses who may have seen or heard suspicious activity, before, during or after the crime by returning to the scene.
Detective Inspector Nicky McGovern said: “This was a particularly alarming crime, in which the suspect made off with a three figure sum of money. I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious to speak to our officers and help us with our enquiries.
“The man responsible for the robbery is described as being between 17-18 years of age, five feet nine inches tall and he was wearing a grey hat, a dark hooded top, grey hooded jogging bottoms and blue trainers.
“If you have any information, or if you know who this man is, I would encourage you to speak to our officers who will be in the Downfield area tonight between 7.30pm and 9pm.”
