Lord Provost Bob Duncan has launched a blog to tell people about his activities as the civic head of the city.
He said: “I am very keen to let as many people as possible know about the many great things that are happening here in Dundee.
“As lord provost, I am privileged to be able to carry out many duties on behalf of the city and I also have the pleasure of attending events across communities.
“I hope that people take the time to read the blog and share my enthusiasm for the city, its people and their spirit.”
His blog which is not open to comments can be found at www.dundeecity.gov.uk/blog/lordprovost.
Among the entries he has posted so far is one about a remembrance event on Sunday.
Mr Duncan wrote: “I look forward this weekend to joining the nation in remembering those who gave their lives for us and pay tribute to their memory.
“This weekend we will parade from the High School of Dundee at 10.50am to the wreath laying ceremony at the garden of remembrance, St Mary’s Church, Nethergate.”
Members of the public are also being encouraged to attend a two-minute silence in Dundee City Square at 11am on Monday to mark Armistice Day.
The lord provost will be joined by veterans, councillors, civic guests and council officers.
