Two engines from Kingsway rushed to the home in Dura Street following reports that an electric blender had malfunctioned at 6.15pm. The fire was quickly brought under control within 15 minutes. A spokeswoman for Scottish Fire and Rescue said: “Two appliances from Kingsway attended reports of a small fire in a home at Dura Street. “An electric blender had caught fire.”
