Dundee man killed in accident on the M9 near Dunblane

A pedestrian who died after being hit by a van on a motorway has been named by police.
Thomas Henderson, 49, from Dundee, was struck by a Ford Transit on the northbound carriageway of the M9, near Keir Roundabout by Dunblane, on Monday evening. He died of his injuries at the scene.
Police are working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the crash, as well as Mr Henderson’s movements before his death.
It is known he was at various locations in Clackmannanshire and the Stirling area earlier in the day.
Anyone who may have seen Mr Henderson, or who can help with the investigation in any way, is asked to come forward.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We know that Mr Henderson had been within the Glenochil Village, the Menstrie area and then latterly Bridge of Allan before making his way to the M9 where the collision occurred.
“Anyone who remembers seeing him during this time, or who has information that can assist with our ongoing inquiries, is asked to contact police immediately.”
